Dawna C. Sturdivant was hit by the real estate development bug when she moved to St.
Louis in 2000. Struck by the undeveloped housing stock within the city of St. Louis, she
wanted to be part of the revitalization. Beautiful architecture abounded, but there was a
need for systematic reinvestment in the city communities that have long been neglected.
Instead of idly watching city neighborhoods transformed into desirable, fashionable places
to live - she joined in.
Taking this redevelopment as a personal challenge, Dawna set about rehabilitating a
historic property within a city neighborhood in 2001. She teamed with various
city/state/federal offices while utilizing tax credits, working with architects, and building
relationships with contractors and inspectors.
Having found her true calling, she became a licensed real estate broker, specializing in city
properties, and joined Pyramid Properties. Soon after, The Urban Living Group, LLC and
www.urbanlivingstl.com were conceptualized to satisfy the need for real estate services
that focus on an urban lifestyle.
Dawna's project management background - gained from 10 years of working in Marketing
and Account Management for Fortune 500 companies - makes each real estate deal seem
effortless. Traveling throughout the world, to countries such as Thailand, Singapore, Taipei,
Hong Kong and Mexico; has given her a global perspective on housing, design and
architecture. She brings that same global perspective to every real estate transaction.
